Funny Spam Comments
Posted by Franziska on Aug 5, 2012 in Blog | 10 commentsIt can be funny to go through the spam comments! Who comes up with this stuff or who pays these people to randomly place those stupid comments on my blog? Or how does it all work? Is there a comment generator?
I know that these companies are trying to get some back-linking to get their search ranking up or is there another reason?
As dumb as some of the spam comments are, there are actually some smarter ones that even address me by name. Some of the comments make sense, some are just random words.
Like this one:

congrats on baby # 6. just started tnnikihg today how nice it would be to have another one myself. would be nice if it was a boy too. have all girls (4). i think my husband about fainted when i mentioned having another one. he loves my girls and kids too, but my pregnancies are hard. i get terrible morning sickness to the point of having to take meds and sometimes getting rehydrated via iv. praying all goes well for you.

Spambots have been getting more amusing these days.
My personal favorite spam was really, really deep. It asked about the ultimate fate of the universe: “will space continue to expand forever…”?

That’s a very deep comment, wow, and looong! I just read it, it will keep me thinking for the rest of the day about the universe. Will it expand or not?
Who writes this???? Someone just left this comment: “oh, great! i will try. Thanks Franziska”, so I checked out their website and found that this person has hundreds of spam comments in their comment section AND responds to every single one?!?!?!!?!
Unfortunately, I deleted the comment about bacon wrapped sausage and the other one with grandma’s pancake recipes…

I got another masterpiece today. Apparently the spammers just love my piece about Helen Gurley Brown.
Here it is:

They just can’t stop making me laugh:
